The Conradies

It was lovely photographing the Conradies in Stellenbosch recently. Thank you Lo-Ida and Mariette for all your trouble in organizing this shoot. Just getting everyone together and setting a date and time that worked for everyone was a miracle on its own with two families plus "Ouma and Oupa" who lives in another province. These ladies were amazing in choosing everyone's wardrobes and even bringing balloons and props. I loved their initiative. We started at Le Roux and Mariette's beautiful home where we carried out two of their antique chairs into the garden. After a few shots there we went to an open field nearby with golden hour. I wish I could share more photos here, but trying to only share a few favourites from each shoot.

The Fouries

It was an honour having the Fouries here at my home studio for a family shoot with the grandparents too. With the grandparents only visiting for a few days and the family homeschooling and dad working for an overseas company (from 2 pm - 10 pm every day) we had to shoot on a Monday morning. With mornings not being ideal in terms of outside lighting, I suggested we shoot at my home studio because our home throws a shadow over our front garden so we had a small window in which we could do a few shots on our bench in front of our house (this has become quite a favourite spot for me to shoot with the waterwise plants making a lovely backdrop). We then took a few in the studio. With small children, you never know what you are going to get and these little ones were BUSY but so CUTE! Just a lovely group of people. It was lovely meeting everyone. Ernadize I will say again what I told you on the day of the shoot - respect for homeschooling!
