Documentary Wedding Photography

I have always loved documentary wedding photography. With years of experience as a wedding photographer, I know how important your wedding photos are and also that it is very important to choose a photographer who understands you and your partner's story. With my photojournalistic background, I love to capture those timeless "stolen" moments. Telling the story of your special day unobtrusively and without getting in the way. Taking control and giving direction where needed (for instance with the family photos) to get those "must have" shots, but without taking over and also concentrating on telling your story visually (in a documentary style). Taking beautiful posed shots, but then also capturing those candid and behind the scenes "gems" in between. I believe the truly special moments are the ones you are not even aware of. An emotion or moment is captured forever.

Throughout the years I have photographed a lot of big weddings (usually around 200 guests), but these days I really enjoy capturing smaller, more intimate ceremonies.
